Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser

So, as you may know I bought 2 boxes of the vitamin e hot cloth cleanser from Superdrug yesterday. It is currently on special offer, normally it is £5.99 for 1 box but at the moment it is 2 boxes for £3.99! Talk about steal! Now I had seen a few people talk about this on Twitter and thought whilst it is on offer I would give it a go.

This is a picture of the packaging -
The packaging isn't anything spectacular, but it is quite cute!

And here is what comes in the box -
You get a 200ml tube of the cleanser, plus a fairly good sized muslin cloth.

Now the directions on the box say to gently massage the cleanser into your face and neck in circular motions, then using the muslin cloth to wipe it off with hand hot water. You should rinse your face with cool water to finish the process.

I used this yesterday as I wanted to give it a go. As soon as I opened the tube I was met with the most wonderful smell! It smells really clean and kind of like baby powder. It is really subtle and makes it seem really luxurious I think. I only used a small amount of the cleanser, and this was plenty. It rubbed in really nicely, and did not feel at all greasy. However I think my favourite part was rinsing it off with the hot water and muslin cloth, the cloth is very light weight but has just enough abbrasivness (correct word?) so you can feel it on your skin and feel it cleaning it. Using the hot water and the cloth made my face feel so refreshed, and you can definately see what muck is coming off of your face! (yuck) My face felt nice and smooth and clean afterwards, and with me having sensitive skin, I felt no irritation or tightness.

I also like the fact this this product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and that Superdrug are against animal testing.

I will definately be buying this product again, especially if I can get my hands on it whilst it is on offer again. I may even stock up very soon. As I like to save my pennies!

Hope you've all enjoyed this,

J x

  2. Great review!! I like that Superdrug's own range is now cruelty-free.

  3. I've run out of my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish which is quite pricey so this seems a great cheaper alternative. I've used the vitamin e range before so can't wait to try this :)
